Mine facilities are the supporting foundation upon which every mining operation is built, facilitating ore mining, process and transport chain operations and providing the vital day to day support services required on mine sites. Our focus is to tailor innovative mine facilities that fit seamlessly with mining operations, minimising costs and meeting time to market pressures without compromising on safety. Globally, the quality of ore grades continues to decrease while the complexity of extracting the ore body increases. Mines continue to get larger, fueling the need for more enabling infrastructure to support the pit to port ore chain. Capital costs and the recurrent costs of energy, water and labour are all increasing. Well planned and efficient facilities are vital to minimise costs and enable mine to function at optimum capacity and efficiency. Aurecon recognises zero harm, time to market and cost per tonne as fundamental business drivers of successful mine developments. Mine facilities must support the ore chain at minimum cost, without compromising safety or delivery schedules. Health & Safety, environmental and community (HSEC) issues come first in everything we do. Zero harm is a core value for Aurecon. We foster this by appointing experienced teams who combine a deep understanding of HSEC management with that of our clients. We integrate and align our teams with our clients to deliver best practice project outcomes across risk, quality, budget and schedule. 2 Aurecon Mine support facilities We understand that facilities development is not the core business of mining, yet is often on the critical path.
