High performance facades: Making a business case

July 30, 2015
Building high performance facades can help property developers to reduce the cost of construction, avoid underinvestment in building facades and prevent poor building operational performance. By building quality facades, property developers can reduce the space and cost associated with mechanical plant and provide better management of thermal, daylight and glare performance. Aurecon’s Senior ESD Engineer, Chris Buntine, discusses how early stage performance modelling can be used to assess the trade-offs in capital cost and performance between the façade and mechanical plant.
